~Gals Gathering at SS2~

Within this few weeks after having our so called "research", we have made our mind to hangover around SS2, the largest and most populous area of Petaling Jaya and is noted for its Chinese character. We had a terrific time by craving up a bunch of foods here. Frontera Bar & Grill has been choosen as our first station to dine in. It is located at Jaya One which is PJ's ultimate business park with dozens of dining options, entertainment, shopping, events, even health and wellness. There is a wide range of foods that you may easily get to have: Chinese cuisine, Western, Mexican, Thai n etc...

Frontera Bar & Grill is basically a Tex-Mex restaurant with a variety of choices. This is our first try on Tex-Mex cuisine and we decided to get a hand from the waitress to guide us in understanding their dishes which named mostly by Mexican word that we have not been come across before.

By getting help from the pretty waitress, we managed to have a list of order. Horny Margarita, made with Sauza tequila (100% agave tequila). Why it's called as HORNY? It's because you may become horny after sipping it??? NO, it is derived from the name of Hornitos label.

Appetizer~The Frontera Nancho, freshly made tortilla chips spread with refried beans and topped with cheese and sliced jalapenos. Served with pico de gallo. Rm 22.95. I love this more than the others that we have ordered.

She was busy drawing while eating....

Main course~ Chicken Enchiladas (Rm28.95), shredded chicken and sour cream enchiladas topped with Poblano sauce and Monterrey Jack cheese. It served with either mash potato or Mexican rice and refried beans. Tex-Mex way of popiah....haha!

Fajita Ranchera Burrito~Chicken Fajita, red onions, bell peppers, Monterey Jack cheese and the spicy ranchera sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla topped with sour cream and guacamole.

Chili Cheese Burger is one of the burger recommendation. It was thick, dry, beefy and the chili con carne topping added more flavour and texture to it. I thinking McD's beef burger is pretty good compared to this.... Less satisfaction~lack of melted cheese.

Our next station was Hong Kong~甜品哥哥(tin pan kor kor) which situated a stone throw away from Jaya One. This dessert shop is situated just opposite to the SS2 Square (hawker stalls). They sell over 140 types of dessert with some special desserts that I have ever try before.

You may think of how to choose the nicest dessert among these 140??? We was headache during that time and have to go through all pages of such a thick menu that I again have not been come through before this.

Among all those desserts, some are nice, some are acceptable but not really that nice. Maybe what we ordered are not the best seller or maybe we prefer our hometown's more than this. Prices is in the range of RM 3~20. Anyway, you may have a try....

Almond soup with glutinous rice ball~ Sharen likes this...

Black glutinous rice sweet soup with coconut sago ice milk and mango.

Pumpkin sago soup~ This is special! Try to make it yourself. Go DIY !

Peanut Glutinous rice balls~

Watermelon balls with coconut sago milk~ I prefer the one which is available in a chinese restaurant opposite to the Timesquare cinema. This will be nicer if the watermelon is sweet enough. RM 5
